Now in it's 5th year, volunteers are needed to help with set up and tear down of this annual non-profit fundraiser inside a juried art fair in beautiful Fishers Heritage Park at White River (106 & Eller Road).
ABOUT THE EVENT:
Harvest Fest was founded by the Fishers Parks & Recreation Foundation and Fishers Arts Council in 2020 to raise funds for the Angel of Hope statue that now stands in the park. Today, each participating non-profit receives direct donations and sells items to raise funds for their causes alongside juried artists and artisans from the area. Live music is performed by Sweet Tunes, Mudsock Jazz Combo, and Remington Hill during the event; food trucks, Kona Ice, and adult beverages are also available. All food truck purchases benefit an assigned non-profit at the event.
All volunteers need to be able to lift/carry items up to 25 lbs or 50 lbs with a partner. They must also be able to assist with raising their arms over their head to help set up canopies. On-site training will be offered to all volunteers.
8am volunteers will help Fishers Arts Council board members prepare the space for artists to arrive, then assist artists with setting up their canopies, bringing their items to their spaces, and general assistance. These volunteers can park onsite in the Ambassador House parking lot, but must move their car by 9:45am, which is the end of their shift.
9:30am volunteers will continue to assist artists and nonprofits with setting up their canopies, bringing their items to their spaces, and general assistance. These volunteers will park at Riverside Jr. High, 10910 Eller Road, Fishers. A shuttle will bring you to the Park and will run all day.
4:30pm volunteers will help artists and nonprofits tear down their canopies and carry items to their cars. They will also assist Fishers Arts Council board members with restoring the Park to where it was before the event started. These volunteers will park at Riverside Jr. High, 10910 Eller Road, Fishers. A shuttle will bring you to the Park and will run until 6:30pm, which is the end of their shift.
