End-of-Life patients have a lot of needs. But often times patients find themselves needing companionship more than anything else. Companionship Volunteers play a vital role in end-of-life care. Many elderly patients live in facilities and find themselves struggling with feelings of loneliness. As a Companionship Volunteer, you'll come alongside a patient and ensure they know they are not alone. Common activities our volunteers conduct with our patients include:
- Reading to patients
- Telling stories
- Letting the patient share stories
