To further ensure the quality of life of the trail, protect and preserve its condition, and continue to beautify features along the trail, the City of Fishers enacted the Nickel Plate Trail Steward program. The Steward Program allows the public to be directly engaged in caring for and maintaining the Nickel Plate Trail and thus benefit the entire community by safeguarding the long-term sustainability and longevity of our Nickel Plate Trail.
