Weed Wrangle with a twist! Join us at Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve to help remove invasive garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata). During this first ever event that brings together conservationists and herbalists, in addition to physical removal of the plant, you will learn why it is important to remove this species, what nutritive and medicinal value garlic mustard has for humans, and how to use it in your kitchen! The event will be split into a traditional weed wrangle followed by a culinary demonstration! All ages welcome. Great for groups, troop and clubs! Work gloves and trash bags will be provided. Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
