Help Keep Fishers Green! Volunteer for Spring Recycling Day
The City of Fishers is looking for 10 energetic volunteers to help make our Spring Recycling Day a success! This event is a staple for our community, helping residents clear out clutter while ensuring electronics and household items are disposed of responsibly. As a volunteer, you’ll be on the front lines of our sustainability efforts, ensuring the "drive-thru" process is smooth, safe, and efficient.

Your Role You will be working outdoors to greet residents and assist with the sorting process. Primary duties include:
- Unloading: Greeting residents and helping them remove items from their trunks or truck beds.
- Sorting: Directing and placing items into the correct recycling receptacles (electronics, appliances, etc.).
- Traffic Flow: Helping keep the line moving so residents can get in and out quickly.
Requirements & Physical Demands
- Heavy Lifting: You must be comfortable lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Stamina: This is an active role that requires standing and moving for the duration of the event.
- Weather Ready: The event happens rain or shine! Please dress in layers and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
