High-Powered Rocket Bootcamp Volunteers Needed
We are looking for volunteers to support a High-Powered Rocket Bootcamp build day on Sunday, August 2 at Maker Playground. Participants will spend the day assembling and preparing high-powered rockets for a future launch. No rocket-building experience is required, however familiarity with general hand tools and power tools is preferred. Volunteers will receive instructions before participants arrive.
Volunteer needs: 7 full-day build volunteers, 9:15 a.m.–4 p.m.
- Attend a short orientation and project walkthrough
- Help participants assemble their rockets
- Provide hands-on support and keep groups on schedule
- Assist with setup, painting, cleanup, and packing equipment
- Drinks, snacks, and a meal will be provided
3 cleanup and pack-up volunteers at the end of the event, 2:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.
- Clean tables and work areas
- Organize tools and supplies
- Help pack equipment for transport
- This role does not focus on helping build rockets and, instead, helps pack up supplies and load the van
Volunteers should be comfortable working with participants in a hands-on environment and able to follow instructions from the event leaders.
