4th of July Concert & Fireworks Volunteer

Celebrate Independence Day while helping create a memorable experience for the Fishers community! Fishers Parks & Recreation is seeking volunteers to assist with the City's 4th of July Concert & Fireworks celebration. Volunteers can choose from two unique opportunities to help make this signature community event a success.
Concert & Event Support
Time: 6:30 – 10:30 p.m.
Location: Nickel Plate District
Volunteers Needed: 4
Help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for attendees throughout the evening.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with event setup, including tents and activity areas
- Distribute giveaways and promotional items
- Provide information and directions to attendees
- Support event staff throughout the event
- Assist with event teardown following the fireworks
Requirements:
- Volunteers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Friendly, welcoming attitude and willingness to assist attendees.
Fireworks Safety Volunteer
Time: 9:00 – 10:30 p.m.
Location: Holland Park
Help maintain a safe perimeter during the City's fireworks display while enjoying one of the best views in Fishers.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor designated areas to help keep attendees out of the fireworks safety zone
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment throughout the park
- Provide basic directions and information to attendees
- Communicate any concerns or issues to event staff promptly
Requirements:
- Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older Responsible, attentive, and comfortable remaining in an assigned location throughout the shift
What to Expect:
- A low-activity, monitoring-focused role
- Time to relax while staying attentive—bring a chair, a book, or your favorite podcast
- A front-row view of the fireworks while supporting public safety
