Brooke’s Place Ongoing Support Groups rely on about 200 volunteers who directly serve our children and families. These generous gifts of time and compassion allow us to address the critical needs of grieving young people and their families.
Buddies provide behind the scenes support by helping to set up for a program night, welcoming families into the space as they arrive, serving dinner to families, and cleaning up at the end of the night. Buddies are often the first volunteer faces that a family sees when arriving for a program night, and help to create an atmosphere of support and care.
Buddy Requirements:
18 years old OR accompanied by a caregiver who is also volunteering
Fingerprint/Background check
6 month service commitment: 2 times per month on a set schedule from 5:30p-8:30p; M, T, W, or Th
Locations:
We have support group locations on the North, South, East, and Westsides of Marion county
