Volunteer Opportunity: Dog Park DNA Swab Assistance
Location: Fishers Community Center Dog Park
Overview
The Fishers Community Center is seeking volunteers to assist with upcoming Dog Park DNA Swab events. These events help support a clean and well-maintained park experience for all users. Volunteers will play a key role in welcoming dog owners, answering basic questions, and assisting with check-in and data entry.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Greet and guide dog owners through the DNA swab process
- Answer general questions (training will be provided onsite)
- Assist with entering participant information into an iPad
- Help ensure an organized and positive experience for all attendees Note: Dog owners will complete the DNA swabs on their own pets. Volunteers are there to support and guide as needed.

Saturday, June 13
- 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM (6 volunteers needed)
- 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM (6 volunteers needed)
Saturday, June 27
- 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM (6 volunteers needed)
Saturday, July 11
- 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM (6 volunteers needed)
- 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM (6 volunteers needed)
Additional Information
- Volunteers are asked to arrive at the start of their shift for a brief orientation and instructions
- A staff member will be onsite at all times to provide support and guidance
- No prior experience is required
