Do you love Fishers and enjoy meeting new people? The City of Fishers is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to serve as Tour Ambassadors for our Municipal Complex. As the city continues to grow, we host a variety of guests who want to go "behind the scenes" of local government. As a Tour Ambassador, you will play a vital role in ensuring these visits run smoothly by helping organize groups, providing a warm welcome, and leading visitors through our state-of-the-art facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Group Leadership: Lead and transition groups between different tour stops, including City Hall theater, the Fishers Art Center, The Hamilton East Public Library, and the Police and Fire Departments.
- Crowd Management: Help maintain the flow of the tour and ensure all participants stay together and remain safe.
- Guest Engagement: Greet visitors with a friendly demeanor and answer basic questions about the City of Fishers and the Municipal Complex.
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly & Professional: A positive attitude and a passion for community service.
- Communication Skills: Comfortable speaking to and directing groups of various sizes and ages (especially elementary-aged children).
- Reliability: Punctuality is key, as tours are scheduled at specific times
- Physical Ability: Must be comfortable standing and walking for up to 1.5 to 2 hours.
