Volunteer Opportunity: National Go Fly a Kite Day

Join the City of Fishers for a fun, family-friendly community event celebrating National Go Fly a Kite Day at Geist Waterfront Park! This free event invites residents of all ages to enjoy an afternoon of kite flying along the waterfront from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Volunteers will support event operations before, during, and after the event, including: Assisting with event setup (tables, tents, and table coverings)
- Assembling kite kits for participant use
- Providing general support to staff during the event
- Assisting with event cleanup and tear-down
Volunteer Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry light to moderate items (tables, supplies)
- Willingness to work outdoors for the duration of the shift
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
Additional Information
- Volunteers should arrive by 11:00 a.m. for setup prior to the event start time This is an outdoor event; dress appropriately for weather conditions Drinks and snacks will be provided for volunteers No prior experience is required Help create a memorable spring experience for the Fishers community while enjoying a beautiful day at the park!
