Are you a friendly, warm, and welcoming individual who loves being around children and families? The Greeter role is one of the most important positions in our center, as you are the first impression for all who enter. You will help create a secure, positive, and inviting atmosphere for our children, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warm Welcome: Greet all children, parents, staff, and visitors with a friendly smile and positive attitude as they arrive and depart.
- Security & Safety: Monitor the secure entrance and politely ensure all incoming guests are properly checked in/out according to the Child Care Center's safety protocols.
- Direction & Information: Direct parents and visitors to the appropriate classrooms or administrative offices. Answer general questions about the facility or direct inquiries to the correct staff member.
- Support: Assist staff with light, non-child-care related tasks, such as organizing a waiting area, refreshing bulletin boards, or assisting with simple sign-up sheets.
- Maintain a Positive Environment: Ensure the lobby/entrance area remains clean, tidy, and welcoming.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. A friendly, professional, and reliable demeanor. A strong commitment to confidentiality and child safety.
- Must successfully complete a required background check and volunteer orientation.
