Hamilton County Sports Authority is seeking volunteers for the 2024 MAC Men's Golf Championship at Chatham Hills from April 26 - 28. Volunteers are needed to assist with the following:
Walking Score:
Walking Scorers are responsible for recording competitor’s hole scores on the golf course. This is a physically demanding position as you will be required to walk a minimum of 18 holes. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to shift time. Shift times are based upon tee times. Training will be provided upon arrival and a smartphone is required to download the Golfstat app.
Scoring Central:
Scoring Central is the nerve center of tournament scoring. Volunteers in this role will assist Championship Staff with communication to walking scorers on the course and assist with scoreboard posting and entry on Golfstat. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to shift time. Training will be provided upon arrival.
Transportation:
Shuttle drivers are responsible for transporting players by golf cart between the 9th green and 10th tee box as well as from the West Range to the 1st tee box. A valid drivers license is required. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to shift time.
Hospitality Operations:
This group assists Championship Staff with the placement, maintenance, and removal of on-course food and bevarage hospitality. A valid drivers license is required. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to shift time.
Practice Area Support:
This group will assist Championship Staff by maintaining the short game practice area and directing players/teams to the designated hitting areas. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to shift time.
Spotters:
The safety of the spotter is of the greatest concern. This position will allow you to view the shots and keep you safe. A spotter is responsible for watching balls and locating them for the players. Please considering bringing a chair. Spotters will be trained and assigned to a hole upon arrival. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to shift time.
