Is Indoors
Best for volunteers who prefer to work behind-the-scenes
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- "Shopping" our shelves to assemble individualized orders of meat and dairy, produce, and canned good items for clients using our curbside pickup program, typically around 200-300 orders per shift.
- Labeling orders for easy pickup at our partner sites
- Stacking and palletizing completed orders
- Resetting the area for the next volunteer shift
Training Provided:
- No experience required - we'll train you at the start of your first shift!
Safety Protocols:
- Closed-toe shoes required
Allergens: We handle multiple allergens in our facility and cannot guarantee any area or project is allergen free
- Exposure to cold or warm temperatures, depending on the weather outside
- Working in a warehouse environment, which may be noisy
- Working around moving vehicles and equipment
What else do I need to know?
- This project requires repetitive lifting and bending
- This project does take place indoors in our warehouse. The warehouse is not climate controlled so please dress for the weather.
- Volunteers should be comfortable standing for a 3-hour shift with minimal breaks.

Impact of Assignment
- Volunteers will help fulfill orders for around 300 households each shift
- Every volunteer hour = 276 meals.
