Become a part of CCPR’s 2nd annual Parks Beautification Month (previously Parks Beautification Week) and Hamilton County Invasive Species Awareness Month. Throughout the month of April, join us for a project as we restore and appreciate the natural beauty found in our parks. We cannot wait to partner with you to make our parks thrive! Pre-registration is required. Volunteers 16 years and under will require the supervision of a parent or guardian.
A Weed Wrangle is a one-day volunteer effort to remove invasive plant species from our public parks and green spaces. Staff and volunteers will be helping remove invasive bush honeysuckle from Central Park and create valuable habitat for our local wildlife. Come and learn about invasive species, how to identify them, and how to remove them!

What's a Weed Wrangle?
Weed Wrangles ® are volunteer invasive species removal events hosted nationwide to control the invasive plants that are negatively impacting our public parks, green spaces and natural areas. Weed Wrangles® are led by experts and include and education and hands on component. Volunteers will learn how to manage the targeted invasive species and get to work as part of a collaborative effort to improve a natural area.
Weed Wrangles® are often held repeatedly at the same location for two reasons. First, invasive species management takes time. Unfortunately removing these species is not a one and done approach. Second, returning to work on the same site lets you see the impact your efforts are having in the ecosystem.
Being part of a Weed Wrangle® is a fun way to learn, meet new people, and make a difference in our environment!
