Turn Your Volunteer Hours into Recognition             

If you’re a Fishers student in junior high or high school, the Mayor’s Youth Service Award is your chance to get recognized for giving back to the community.  By volunteering with nonprofits and community partners, you can earn awards, build leadership experience and make a real impact in Fishers. 

Who Can Participate? 

You’re eligible if you are: 

  • A Fishers resident
  • Enrolled in a public, private or home school program
  • Currently in eighth grade through high school  

Volunteer hours can start counting in eighth grade and continue through high school graduation

How It Works

1. Create your account through Volunteer Fishers if you don’t already have one.

2. Sign up for the Mayor’s Youth Service Award program.  

3. Track your volunteer hours using the tracking form sent to your email. You may also submit previously completed volunteer hours dating back to eighth grade through graduation using this form.

4. Earn recognition based on your total hours completed. Be sure to submit the tracking form each time you volunteer for your hours to count.

Award Levels 

  • Bronze (50–99 hours): Certificate of Civic Leadership 
  • Silver (100–149 hours): Certificate of Civic Leadership and lapel pin
  • Gold (150–199 hours): Certificate of Civic Leadership, lapel pin, and graduation cord
  • Platinum (200–299 hours): Certificate of Civic Leadership, lapel pin, graduation cord, and a letter of commendation from Mayor Scott Fadness
  • Diamond (300+ hours): Certificate of Civic Leadership, lapel pin, letter of commendation, recognition on the City’s social media account(s),and  breakfast with Mayor Scott Fadness
