At the Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide (ICPYAS), our motto is to educate, prevent and empower. We are committed to finding impactful ways to educate children and adults that are accurate and effective. Our world and the issues children face are ever changing. To stay current on issues, we would like to give teens in our community a platform to share and collaborate in our fight against abuse, suicide and staying safe online. ICPYAS is excited to announce we are starting a Youth Action Council (YAC), and we are looking for your help!
What this means:
- We are looking for students with a commitment to advocacy and the well-being of their youth peers. Interested students must be rising sophomores, juniors or seniors.
If you are interested in helping us in any of the above ways, please let us know!
ICPYAS educated nearly 70,000 students in the 2023/24 school year. We know students have a lot of impactful things to say and we have collectively learned so much from them. We want to strengthen the voice of our youth, but we cannot do this without listening and really hearing what is said. It is exciting to think of the positive possibilities of empowering the youth in our community to act.
If you are an incoming sophomore, junior or senior and any of this interests you please do not hesitate in attending our Call Out Meeting to hear more about how you can make a difference in your community.
