The Fishers Health Department is seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with translating vaccination records written in languages other than English—specifically Kurdish and Arabic. This vital work helps our clinical team determine which immunizations are still needed for patients and ensures accurate public health documentation.
- Responsibilities:
- Translate vaccination records from Kurdish or Arabic into English
- Collaborate with Health Department staff to clarify medical terminology
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Requirements:
- Proficiency in Kurdish or Arabic (written and verbal)
- Medical or clinical background (e.g., nursing, public health, medical assistant, etc.)
- Completion of HIPAA training (provided if needed)
- Ability to work independently and with attention to detail
