Volunteer Opportunity: Spark!Fishers 2026 – Sensory/Accessibility Volunteer
Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
Location: Nickel Plate District
Help create an inclusive and welcoming experience for all at Spark!Fishers 2026! Sensory/Accessibility Volunteers support guests with sensory needs by providing resources that make the event more comfortable and accessible.
Available Shifts:
- 3:00 PM – 7:15 PM
- 6:45 PM – 11:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Distribute and manage checkout of sensory-inclusive materials, including sensory bags and weighted lap pads
- Explain available resources and how to use them to attendees and families
- Provide general event information and support to guests with accessibility needs
- Assist with tracking and returning borrowed items
- Communicate any questions, concerns, or needs to event staff
About the Resources:
- Sensory Bags include noise-reducing headphones, fidget tools, and communication cards
- Weighted Lap Pads are available for comfort and sensory regulation
- Assisted Listening Devices are available for live stage entertainment at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater (NPD AMP)
Training Requirement:
- KultureCity training is required and will be provided to all volunteers in this role to ensure best practices for supporting individuals with sensory needs
