Join in on the Nickel Plate Trail grand opening by becoming a Nickel Plate Trail One Miler volunteer on Saturday, May 14. Volunteers will assist participants in checking in for the race and then transition to the finish line to pass out water and food items. Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult with an active volunteer profile.
Be one of the first to run/walk through the Nickel Plate Trail tunnel and kickoff our grand opening festivities! Fishers Nickel Plate Trail is a 3.8 mile paved multi-use trail. On May 14, we will celebrate the Grand Opening of the downtown portion of the trail, connecting South St to North St with a tunnel under 116th St. The course is untimed, out and back, and participants will be released in waves to start.
