Who We Are

At Seeds of Caring, we imagine a future with more kindness, more empathy, and more inclusiveness. It all starts with our future generation. Our kids deserve a world that is kinder, more just, and more connected than the one we live in today. Seeds of Caring works to turn this vision into reality—to empower kids to make a real difference through service, social action, and community-building projects. We are raising a generation of kids who are change-makers and bridge-builders. Together with their grown-ups (that’s you!), we teach children about the causes of social issues, break down barriers that prevent us from living in full community with one another, and encourage our youth to use their hearts, hands, and minds for good. Together, we are creating a brighter tomorrow. Join us!

What We Do

We offer service projects for kids ages 2-12 and their caring adults. Families, faith-based organizations, scouts, classrooms and other groups of kids can participate. There are several different projects offered per month, some are Anywhere Projects (remote) and some are In Person events held at the sites of our Non-Profit Partners. Each project or event will take 60-90 minutes and a variety of topics are offered each month. At the conclusion of an Anywhere Project, you'll drop off your completed donations to one of our collection points around the Indy area and we will take them to a local nonprofit who needs them. At our In Person events families register to attend together to participate in an educational activity, engage in a hands-on service project, and are provided with meaningful reflection. Current Anywhere Projects and In Person Events can be found on our website https://www.seedsofcaring.org/indianapolis .
