Volunteer Opportunities From: Volunteer Fishers

The Fishers Health Department (FHD) is seeking volunteers to assist with the FHD booth at the Fishers Farmers Market.  Volunteers will assist with set up, tear down, help man the booth by providing materials and resources to shoppers. Ranked one of the top farmers’ markets in the region, the Fishers Farmers’ Market showcases vendors from Central Indiana that offer fresh produce, baked goods, honey, specialty food items, meats, cheeses, coffee, plants, and much more! Juried to the strictest standards, the market is a destination for fresh, local, flavorful foods direct from farmers and producers. Volunteers must be 14 years old or older. Thank you.

Juried to the strictest standards, the market is a destination for fresh, local, flavorful foods direct from farmers and producers. The 2025 summer market takes place every Saturday, May 3 through September 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at the newly renovated Nickel Plate District Amphitheater in downtown Fishers.

Volunteers help with vendor load-in and setting up tents, tables, and signs around the site before the market begins. During market hours, volunteers conduct visitor counts and provide vendor support and customer assistance. At closing time, they help vendors load as well as tear down and move market tents, tables, signs, and other equipment and supplies to storage. Volunteers must be willing to be outdoors for the duration of their shift; the event is rain or shine. 

Join the Fishers Farmers Market volunteer team as a Kids Activity Lead. Activity lead volunteers will oversee the Fishers Parks kids activity during the Farmers Market. The lead will run the activity and oversee volunteers. Ideally the lead would commit to at least one Saturday a month.

The kids activity may include chalk art, canvas bag painting, putt-putt golf, bracelet making and much more. The 2025 summer market takes place every Saturday, May 3 through September 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at the newly renovated Nickel Plate District Amphitheater in downtown Fishers.
