Volunteer: Brooke's Place BuddyBrooke’s Place Ongoing Support Groups rely on about 200 volunteers who directly serve our children and families. These generous gifts of time and compassion allow us to address the critical needs of grieving young people and their families.Buddies provide behind the scenes support by helping to set up for a program night, welcoming families into the space as they arrive, serving dinner to families, and cleaning up at the end of the night. They listen without judgement, introduce activities, and facilitate peer connections so that participants feel less alone in the midst of their grief. No counseling background is required, just a heart for children and those who are grieving.
