The Fishers Health Department (FHD) is seeking volunteers to assist with the FHD booth at the Fishers Farmers Market.  Volunteers will assist with set up, tear down, help man the booth by providing materials and resources to shoppers. Ranked one of the top farmers’ markets in the region, the Fishers Farmers’ Market showcases vendors from Central Indiana that offer fresh produce, baked goods, honey, specialty food items, meats, cheeses, coffee, plants, and much more! Juried to the strictest standards, the market is a destination for fresh, local, flavorful foods direct from farmers and producers. Volunteers must be 14 years old or older. Thank you.

Volunteer with the Fishers Health Department during the International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day event on Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Fishers City Hall Theater. Volunteers will assist with set up, signing in guests, greeting guests, supporting guests in an art activity, and helping cleanup.

The Fishers Health Department is seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with translating vaccination records written in languages other than English—specifically Kurdish and Arabic. This vital work helps our clinical team determine which immunizations are still needed for patients and ensures accurate public health documentation.

Responsibilities:Translate vaccination records from Kurdish or Arabic into EnglishCollaborate with Health Department staff to clarify medical terminologyMaintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelinesRequirements: Proficiency in Kurdish or Arabic (written and verbal)Medical or clinical background (e.g., nursing, public health, medical assistant, etc.)Completion of HIPAA training (provided if needed)Ability to work independently and with attention to detail
